Our MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) was installed in 2001.   Within the fenced area, the courts are marked for a variety of different sports and are available for local clubs, or any organised group, to use.

The MUGA is maintained by the Reynold’s Playing Fields Trust, for which the Parish Council is trustee, with costs for cleaning, lighting, line marking etc, being covered by charges levied from users of the sports area. New clubs are always welcome.

How to Book the MUGA:

Any qualifying group can book the MUGA by contacting the Parish Clerk tel; 07928 453208 or email: clerk@abpc.org.uk.

The Clerk will respond within working hours; Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9.00am-3.00pm.

Charges for use of the MUGA vary dependent upon the activity being organised. Every group, whether a regular club meet or a one-off activity, must have a nominated and contactable organiser who will be required to sign up to the MUGA Rules. These ensure that the area is looked after in the correct manner and left secure on departure.

We are keen to encourage a wide range of activities to help the village to stay fit and active.

The Parish Council has a set of five-a-side football nets and is seeking to support a local club to use them. We would also be very happy to support setting up of other new clubs, such as netball or basketball.

Aldington Tennis Club Members have access to the MUGA via the Club’s booking system.  As a member you can play anytime the court is available. The courts have lights allowing for longer use during the winter months. Individual Membership starts at £15 for a juvenile, with Family membership costing from £50 per year. Membership Fees are listed on the Club’s Website http://aldingtontennisclub.co.uk.  The Tennis Club are keen to encourage the enjoyment of tennis and willing to discuss how they can help those in financial need. Tennis lessons can be accessed via club membership for all ages.

Aldington & Bonnington Parish Council would like to acknowledge Aldington Tennis Club for their support in gaining the funding that enabled the installation of the Reynold’s MUGA. The Club own the tennis nets and pay an annual fee to the parish for use of the courts.
